About MacUpdate Bundles

Q: How do bundles work? What's the catch?
----

MacUpdate has been the premier Mac-only software directory on the Web since 1997. For years we've been working closely with developers and publishers, and periodically we bundle a group of apps together for one astonishingly low price.

There are no catches or gimmicks. The licenses in a bundle are identical to those you would receive paying full price, with the same support options and upgrade opportunities. We also ensure there will be no paid upgrades to any of these titles for at least 90 days after purchase.

Q: Where is my receipt and serial numbers?
----

Your receipt and serial numbers are emailed to you upon purchase. They can also always be retrieved in your MacUpdate Purchase History.

Q: If I buy the bundle now, can I download it later?
----

Yes, our download links never expire.

Q: I already own some of these apps, can I register them to a friend?
----

Yes. On the purchase screen, select "Gift some apps to friends" registration option, and then enter relevant information.

Q: I'm on a slow connection, can I receive the bundle by mail?
----

Yes, we offer the bundle on a USB drive for just $9.99, worldwide shipping included. In order to keep costs low, drives are shipped via First Class Mail without tracking information. International delivery can take up to 3 weeks, please be patient before contacting us.

Q: Did my purchase go through?
----

If your purchase was successful, you should: 1) receive a confirmation in your Web browser, 2) receive an email receipt, 3) see the purchase record in your MacUpdate Purchase History.

If none of these occurred, then your purchase was not successful. Please try again!

Q: Can I order by phone?
----

No, orders can only be placed online.

Q: How do I receive a refund?
----

Due to the time-limited nature of the offer, there are no refunds. We are happy to refund inadvertent extra purchases, however. Just email: support (at) macupdate (dot) com

Q: Why do I need to have a MacUpdate account?
----

A free MacUpdate member account is required in order to properly license the apps to you and provide you with your purchase history.

Q: Do you have an affiliate program?
----

Yes, we pays $3 per referred bundle sale. Sign up as an affiliate to learn more.

Q: What is the MacUpdate Privacy Policy?
----

Our privacy policy is availale here.

Q: Can I install the bundle on more than one Mac?
----

Generally speaking, yes, assuming the Macs all belong to you and are for personal use. If you are a business customer, you should purchase one license of the bundle for each Mac it will be installed on.

The following titles are only for use on one Mac, but licenses for additional Macs can be purchased at checkout:
  • Cocktail (upgrade to 5 Macs for $5)
  • Washing Machine (upgrade to 3 Macs for $5)

Q: How large is the bundle download?
    ----

The bundle demo is a 540MB download.

The full bundle is similar in size and the download link is contained in your receipt. The primary difference between the demo download and the full bundle download involves Flame Painter 2—the demo download only contains a demo version of Flame Painter 2 that cannot be registered as the full version.

If you have already downloaded the demo and then purchased the bundle, you can download the full version of Flame Painter 2 separately (about 20MB). This version will prompt you for your registration information at launch.

Q: The registration details I received don't work, what should I do?
    ----

Consult your receipt carefully. Some applications require you to enter your name and/or email address exactly as you provided those details to MacUpdate. Others may have a different name than your own (typically in the format of "MacUpdate Bundle" or "MacUpdate Promo" or similar).

Also, please be sure you are copying and pasting just the serial number itself. Sometimes when text is copied, an extra space or line break is added at the end of the serial number, which can create problems.

If the registration details are still not working, please contact the developer of the app in question directly for further assistance.
